Wealth Enhancement has acquired a six-advisor team that is parting ways with registered investment advisor TFB Advisors in Overland Park, Kan. The team leaving TFB Advisors had managed about $1.2 billion in client assets and included four support staff and lead advisors Josh Selzer, Tim Gaigals and Daniel Dolan, according to Minneapolis-based Wealth Enhancement. Selzer, Gaigals and Dolan had all owned less than 5% of the firm, according to a Form ADV from September 2025. The controlling owner, David Wentz, held between 50% and 75% of the firm. TFB, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment, has a remaining staff of 13 financial advisors and nine support staff, according to its website. TFB itself had split from broker/dealer Ameritas in August 2022, after having been with the firm for about 21 years, according to BrokerCheck. The team departing to Wealth Enhancement will now operate as The Archer Team at Wealth Enhancement and provide financial planning, investment management, retirement income planning and estate preservation services to high-net-worth individuals, business owners, hospitals and dental practices. “Joining Wealth Enhancement allows us to elevate the level of service we provide to our clients by offering a truly comprehensive suite of solutions—from sophisticated tax strategies and estate planning to diversified investment options that leverage national resources,” Selzer said. The acquisition, which closed Feb. 27, will be Wealth Enhancement’s third deal of the year and its first office in Kansas. Overland Park is home to several large RIAs, including Creative Planning, Mariner and OneDigital. Earlier this week, Wealth Enhancement announced its first deal of the year for The H Group and FocusPoint Solutions, which collectively oversee more than $6.7 billion in client assets. As part of that transaction, it also launched a new RIA affiliation platform called Advisory Solutions Group, which will include FocusPoint Solutions. With the TFB team deal, Wealth Enhancement will oversee a combined $143.8 billion in client, advisory, trust, and brokerage assets. Houlihan Lokey advised the firms on the deal.
