NEXSTAR, Tenn. (WKRN) — Country singer, comedian and entertainer Ray Stevens is recovering after he suffered a broken neck after a fall last month.

Stevens was hospitalized in the Nashville area after the fall on Sunday, March 29.

Doctors have advised 87-year-old Stevens to wear a neck brace for approximately four weeks, according to a release. Despite the injury, Stevens remains fully mobile and in good spirits as he continues his recovery.

In July 2025, the country star underwent minimally-invasive heart surgery after a heart attack in Nashville. He is set to release upcoming album, Favorites Old & New, on Friday, April 10.

Stevens is best known for his hit “The Streak” and in 1971 he won a Grammy for “Everything Is Beautiful.” He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019.
