Plane lands upside down in desert area near Cave Creek

Two people were transported to a hospital Wednesday after an aircraft landed upside down in the Cave Creek area. The Phoenix Fire Department said the small plane crashed at about 10:45 a.m. in the desert area off of the Carefree Highway near the Cave Creek landfill. Two people on board the aircraft were able to exit the aircraft on their own and were transported in stable condition for precautionary reasons. There were no flames nor any leaks from the plane.
