A three-month-old girl died in a suspected dog attack in Redcar, police said. Armed officers were sent to an address on Hardale Grove, in Dormanstown shortly after 13:30 BST on Thursday over reports of concern for a child. Cleveland Police said it had destroyed a dog on the street and another at the property. A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control and causing injury resulting in death. He has been released on conditional bail. An investigation into the girl's death is ongoing and at this stage the girl's death is being treated as the result of a dog bite, the force said.
