"He is the antithesis of those teachings and falsely believes (like his base) that their view of vertical morality justifies their words and actions. It does not. The pope is simply mirroring the Golden Rule, and it is getting under the regime's skin. Good. Zooming out, it is also a surprising twist that both the pope and the president are white men from the United States, but have vastly different views created by their own life experiences. One is for peace and inclusion, the other for discord and division. I am proud of the pope for speaking out about the injustices perpetuated by the current US regime and hope he and other morally correct individuals with global, local, or household influence continue to speak up."
