The Trump White House was hit with a series of stark reminders on Tuesday after it promoted the service that lets Americans request personal messages from the president.

The post on X highlighted the presidential greetings program, which allows people to request messages from Donald Trump to mark “meaningful moments” such as births, birthdays, graduations, weddings, retirements and more.

While the service itself has existed under multiple administrations, critics quickly seized on the post to point to just some of Trump’s previous controversies: from his hypocritical slamming of predecessor Joe Biden’s autopen use to the racy birthday greetings drawing he once reportedly sent to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, his onetime close associate.

Some commenters urged the White House to focus on affordability while others bluntly said the only message they wanted from Trump was his resignation.

Sorry um worried about groceries at the moment!

I'm not interested unless the message is his resignation.

There's nothing meaningful about anything he says.

Is he gonna be scribbling all day or using an autopen?

The only message I ever want to hear from him is I resign.

I’d rather have a president focus on affordability rather than making messages.

Pass. My life’s most meaningful moment will be when this b@st@rd leaves office.

Nah, I'd rather not, thanks. Unless its his resignation letter?
