The Chicks singer Natalie Maines is restirring the political pot.

Maines sliced and diced President Donald Trump on Instagram Monday, calling him a “fugly slut” for good measure.

“Our democracy is disappearing right before our eyes,” Maines wrote. “This fugly slut is using your gas money to pay the insurrectionists. But don’t worry about it. I’m sure posting selfies will fix everything. My last post that called him a fugly slut got removed. We’ll see how long this one lasts. Repost and help the message live.”

Maines emphasized her point with photos of the Jan. 6, 2021, siege on the U.S. Capitol by a Trump-supporting mob.

Trump has sparked concerns he’ll use his Justice Department’s $1.8 billion so-called Anti-Weaponization Fund to compensate convicted Jan. 6 Capitol rioters.

After an inactive period on this particular Instagram account, Maines appears to have popped back to life.

Her last note about Trump that was at least a few lines long is dated Jan. 6, 2021.

“This mentally diseased baby man racist is in control of the red button at this very moment,” Maines’ post read. “He needs to go. It’s enough! You’re fired! Go away. Leave us alone.”

Trump isn’t the only Republican president Maines has beefed with.

In 2003, she criticized George W. Bush at a concert in London. She and her bandmates experienced the early aughts’ version of being canceled ― radio stations stopped playing their songs, and the band became an also-ran on the charts.

The Chicks, who have won 13 Grammys, were previously known as the Dixie Chicks, but rebranded in 2020, reportedly ditching “Dixie” to disassociate themselves from the Confederacy.
