“Daily Show” correspondent Ronny Chieng asked American voters a brutal question following Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-Ky.) primary loss on Tuesday to a candidate endorsed by President Donald Trump.

“Once again, the big story is Donald Trump absolutely stomping on disloyal Republicans like Godzilla with slightly thicker ankles,” Chieng said before playing a clip from MS NOW announcing the congressman’s election loss.

“Yeah, that’ll teach you to try to expose pedophiles,” Chieng said sardonically. ”What is going on here? Releasing the Epstein Files didn’t put anyone in prison. The guy who got the Epstein Files released got voted out. And meanwhile, the Michael Jackson movie made $300 million.”

That’s when Chieng hit American voters with his important query.

“Is America pro-pedophile now?” Chieng asked. “Jeffrey (Epstein), you killed yourself too early! The tides were turning.”

Trump began attacking Massie after he and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) spearheaded the effort to force the release of the Epstein Files. The president also gleefully celebrated Massie’s loss during the annual congressional picnic at the White House.

“We won the Massie thing,” Trump could be heard saying. “He was a bad guy. He deserves to lose.”

Massie, for his part, seemed to take the loss in stride.

“We’re just getting started,” he said. “I like that.”
