Here Are 3 Shows And 1 Movie You Need To Watch This Weekend, Plus The Best "Off Campus" Reactions

“Off Campus” has such buzzy chemistry, I haven’t thought of anything else in days. As a Senior Talent Booker and Producer at BuzzFeed, you can typically catch me flailing about the buzziest TV shows and movies. Directed by Jon Favreau and written by Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Noah Kloor, The Mandalorian and Grogu takes Din Djarin/The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu from their hit Disney+ series to the big screen. In this film, the New Republic is working to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, now that the evil Empire has fallen. They enlist the help of Din Djarin and Grogu to help do just that. While Imperial warlords are believed to be scattered throughout the galaxy, there might still be even more danger than they've all even realized. If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll probably be checking this one out because you’re so curious, like me. While I can say this isn’t the best entry in the Star Wars canon as of late, that’s still reserved for the masterpiece that is Andor. It’s a predictable and adventure-filled blockbuster that hinges on the cute relationship between The Mandalorian/Din and Grogu. The highly anticipated fifth and final season of The Boys ended this week, so if you’re a binge-watcher, you can now watch the whole season in one go. Homelander (Antony Starr) is making the world his own, which means his erratic and egomaniacal whims are something everyone is learning to deal with. As for The Boys, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) are imprisoned in a "Freedom Camp," while Annie (Erin Moriarty) struggles to mount a resistance against the Supes. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is nowhere to be found, and when Butcher (Karl Urban) reappears, he's willing to use a virus to wipe all Supes off the map for good. He sets in motion a chain of events that'll forever change the world. Daveed Diggs joins the cast for the final season. And, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins are in this season, too, thus setting up a Supernatural reunion with Padalecki, Collins, and Jensen Ackles. I won’t spoil anything here for those who haven't watched yet, but I have thoughts. Namely, we might be able to put this on a “kind of disappointing final season” list. You can watch the trailer for the final season here. I genuinely believe this is one of the best underrated shows you aren’t watching right now. Rivals follows the cutthroat, yet glamorous world of independent television in England in the 1980s. Notably, it charts the long-standing, hate-fueled feud between Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell), a charming womanizer, and Lord Tony Baddingham (David Tennant), a wealthy and ruthless TV executive. The show is equal parts hysterical and also jaw-droppingly soapy, which I think is what makes it so great. If you need yet another reason to watch, the cast has so much chemistry, especially Hassell and Bella Maclean, who stars as Taggie. Their will-they-won’t-they age gap relationship has some of the best chemistry on TV. So much so that the TikTok edits will no doubt help persuade you to bump this up on your “to watch” list. The first part of the second season just dropped, so now is the perfect time to binge-watch Season 1 and start Season 2 because I will need more episodes of this delightfully chaotic and sexy British drama. Set in a picturesque retirement community in New Mexico, The Boroughs follows new arrival Sam Cooper (Alfred Molina), who is feeling like this so-called paradise is more like a prison. But everything changes when a terrifying nighttime encounter reveals that something monstrous is stalking the pristine community. Dismissed by the powers that be as just another confused old man, Sam finds an unlikely alliance in a band of neighborhood misfits: a sharp-witted former journalist, a spiritual seeker, a cynical music manager, and a brilliant doctor running out of options. These unlikely heroes must band together to unravel the dark truth at the heart of The Boroughs before their time runs out. Kind of think Stranger Things, but an older generation. The cast is so stacked with heavy hitters that it makes this new sci-fi series worth checking out. These are some of my favorite things from my FYP, feed, and more: Also, have a question for me? With all the Off Campus buzz, especially how great the cast’s chemistry is, it got me thinking about the best teen TV show couple chemistry of all time. Personally, I think James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Lenz, as Nathan and Haley on One Tree Hill, will always have the buzziest chemistry from the 2000s era of teen shows. They are so electric together on screen, and they really built a memorable relationship. So much so, I was sitting here watching Off Campus, and it feels like Hannah and Garrett are Naley in a different font (and the TikTok edits also agree). For me, James and Joy will always have some of the best chemistry on a teen TV show because it really was lightning in a bottle.
