"She drove me home and came into my apartment. Nothing strange there, she came over all the time. She plopped down on my bed. Again, nothing strange — she did that all the time. Then she said, 'Sometimes you really need it, take your clothes off.' I stood there in shock and said, 'You first,' and she started to strip. It all went wild after that.

I moved away a few months later. It was kind of weird after we had sex, but we were still friends. After I moved away, I never saw her or heard from her again. I think about that night often — it was almost 40 years ago."

"He told them both to keep it a secret, so neither of them knew about the other, and neither of them knew he was married! Supposedly, all this 'activity' took place after work hours, so technically, he didn’t 'break any rules.' 

Even so, the corporation is deciding what to do with him because it definitely shows poor judgment on his part. All of this just came to light last week, so no decisions have been made yet (to my knowledge at least). But this happens when you promote someone who doesn’t deserve it, didn’t earn it, and lacks the maturity to handle it."

"One day, she approached me asking about my lunch plans, but let me know that her husband was going to meet her for lunch. I think it was to warn me not to say anything, but I wasn’t going to anyway because I was in my early twenties, they had a kid, and I wasn’t trying to be a step-dad. I see the kid walk in (because she had brought her kid in before), and then I see this guy with the kid. It turned out he had cerebral palsy.

I cheated with her for a little while longer, but eventually had to stop due to guilt."

"After I sent an anonymous message to the fiancé saying to keep an eye on them, she gave him the ultimatum to quit his job or move out. He moved out and ended up moving in with my boss AND HER HUSBAND. 

I heard rumors that she was sneaking downstairs to mess around with him while her husband slept in their bed. I always wondered whether it was a throuple, but I don't think it was.  Eventually, she divorced her husband and kicked him out of the home they'd built and permanently moved her sidepiece in.

They ended up getting married a few years ago — it was the wildest work drama I ever watched unfold. The kicker was, about a year after all this went down, my boss's ex-husband hit me up asking if I wanted to get drinks..."

"I asked her if she was married, and she went, 'Um, yeah.' Then I asked if her husband knew she was cheating on him, and he didn't. So I immediately went back to the group and pretended nothing had happened. We were all pretty drunk, so most of us Ubered home. We were all in the parking lot waiting for our rides, but my coworker's husband actually came to pick her up, so I met him.

When I got home that night, she had texted me that she came from a conservative household and really wanted to explore her sexuality, but she started dating her husband when she was young, and he and her family would never approve. I told her I don’t condone cheating and not to text me again. We never interacted at work, so that was helpful. Eventually, she left the company."

"She started her vacation days off. During her vacation, one of the managers came to me and told me that she had called off the wedding. She broke up with her fiancé.

When she came back, she asked if I wanted to hang out sometime. We got drunk and had sex like rabbits. We were lying in bed together, and she told me why she broke up with him. They had been together for several years, and he had never bought her anything. Not one birthday gift or one Christmas gift, ever. It was the innocent pack of cigarettes that I bought her that made her realize he was going to be a horrible husband.

We dated on and off for a few years, but we were not right for each other and ultimately broke up."

"Well, after a few weeks of her flaking on me, I stopped reaching out. Three weeks of silence go by, then I finally break the silence. She stands by the fact that she is a newly single, free woman, and she wants to explore that freedom, and that she will do what she wants when she wants. That, and she felt I liked her too much. So, it would be best if we stopped getting together.

But all the while, she was having sex with a different coworker."

"I cracked at some point and began venting about my situation. He drank too much sake with his sushi and out came his confession that he wishes we'd never cut off our fling from years ago. 

I remember being able to hear my heartbeat in my ears, sort of panicked, and leaving. I had been certain the hookup period was purely physical for him. It certainly threw me for a loop. I took my time thinking it over, and after my inevitable breakup, we decided to give it a real shot. 

According to him, he never liked seeing me with the other guy, but never wanted to step on any toes if I was happy. He's always like, 'I was playing the long con, I swear!' 

"Eventually, I talked things out with the girl and had hoped something would progress with her. But it didn’t. She got fired a week later for drinking on the job, and I tried staying in contact. The first time I called her, she seemed happy to hear from me. The second time, she told me, 'You can call me whenever you want, but I’m never going to call you.' So I stopped calling.

I still think about her often. During all of this, my friend had told me that the coworker I slept with couldn’t stop talking about me after our night together. I hung onto that for a while, hoping it was true. Given the result, I now know it wasn’t."

"It was extra awkward because I sat right outside the office of the general manager and had to see him every day after this. And I'd been to his home for Christmas parties and met his wife and kids several times. He never said a word to me about it.

The woman I hooked up with told me that her housemate and the GM had been hooking up for over two years."

"One week later, she told me she broke it off with her fiancé. She moved in with me a month later. It was the best two years of my life. Then, one day, she told me she wanted to be by herself."

"The pictures arrived at my boss’s house while he was at work, and his wife opened the package that contained about two dozen very incriminating photos.

I guess all hell broke loose when my boss got home from work that evening. The next day, he came in two hours late to work, and I could tell something was wrong. A few days later, I found out that his wife threw him out of the house and eventually filed for divorce. My boss stayed in a motel the night his wife threw him out, and then got his own apartment.

Eventually, the word of what happened spread throughout the whole company, and my boss wound up leaving by mutual agreement with a pretty substantial severance package. The woman he was having the affair with also left the company shortly after my boss did, and that was the last I heard about either one of them."
