If you rue the day the weather starts to hit 80 degrees, you’re gonna want this solar-powered hat fan on standby.

I'm a resident writer on the Buzzfeed Shopping team, where my love for shopping (and doomscrolling on TikTok) helps me curate lists of the most trending lifestyle, home, beauty, and fashion products.

The battery can last up to 11 hours on low power but up to 1.5 hours on high.

Promising review: "Very strong. At first I was like yeah, the chill plate only feels super cold for a few seconds, then just cold, but…when I took it off my neck, my neck felt cold for a good amount of time after. It was strange, like it pulled the heat out of me. Very strong fan. I get hot flashes and panic attacks, and this is going to help a lot...also it’s cute. ☺️" —Rebekah Bluhm

One reviewer calls this "the Swiss army knife of fans" as it can be used as a desk fan, a normal flashlight, a power bank, *and* has emergency lights. So you really will have everything you need right on your belt!

Promising review: "One of my best purchases of all time. We took a trip to Europe at the end of summer and did a lot of walking. I would blow the air in my face and sometimes clip it to my waist to get air up my shirt. When we would stop to eat or drink at a restaurant, I normally would sweat my face off waiting to cool down, but with this pointed at me, I would cool down 100 times faster. The battery lasts several hours (more than needed for going around town) and charges pretty quickly. A lot of people were asking me about it. The highest setting is kind of loud, so I would usually use the medium setting if we were in a restaurant." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "I bought this for my family during a sweltering heatwave that only a house without AC could provide. When you’re sweating in places you shouldn’t, and you’re ready to fight somebody, these puppies do the trick. Went to bed with it around my neck and chest and knocked out like I called Tyson a sissy. Comes in a convenient waterproof pouch and with a nifty clip for your belt. Handed one to each member of the family and had the best sleep in a week. Best purchase ever!" —Rescueme 909

Promising review: "I absolutely LOVE this fan!!! It goes everywhere I go these days as I suffer from frequent hot flashes. I even keep it on my nightstand at night for night sweats so I don’t have to blow my husband away with the ceiling fan. This fan does a great job of cooling me down before I get too sweaty. It’s fairly unobtrusive and sits around my neck like a set of headphones. Most people don’t think twice about it. The noise level is fine for me. On the high level, it’s a little noisy in my ears, but I don’t think it’s as noticeable to others. Also, I love the three different levels. High is great for those really raging, stubborn hot flashes that take a few minutes to fizzle out. Finally, the battery power is amazing. I’ve gone as long as a week without charging, and it still works fine for my regular usage level (5–6 times a day for a few minutes during each use). If you use more, you could still likely get by without charging daily. I HIGHLY recommend this fan!!!" —Carrie Black

UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) is a measure of how much UV radiation reaches your skin through a fabric. UPF 50 means it's designed to block 98% of the sun's rays.

Promising reviews: "It was a gift for my dad and he loved it! Not only is it cooling on a warm day, but it also keeps the bugs out of your face. He lives on a lake and spends time outside, and this was a great way to keep the sun off him and just make it way more comfortable on the dock, in the yard, or out in a boat." —Anna Roon

"Dorky in the best possible way! We use it in Florida while doing yard work. The fans really make a difference! They keep our faces cool and help repel insects. 4/5 stars simply because the solar fans have to be in DIRECT sunlight. Otherwise, they weaken. However, the batteries are very powerful and long lasting. We accidentally left the fans on for 12 hours. They turned off automatically at some point, but turned on again no problem. The hat fits my husband's larger head well (24 inches around). There is an adjustment strap, so it fits my smaller head also. And it is comfortable! The color came as expected, and it does not feel heavy when worn." —Pink Panther

Promising review: "A good friend recommended this gadget. And I'm glad she did. I run hot and typically wear a beanie out to keep sweat from pouring down my face. This gadget is a handy way to cool down without being a major distraction. Plus, it's a conversation piece. The extra features are the icing on the cake. You never know when you'll need a handy flashlight or charger for your phone. I've only owned it a week; however, between my experience so far and my good friend's suggestion, I recommend this gadget." —Maurice Kemp

Promising review: "I ride my motorcycle a lot here in Georgia. And as a redhead, with fair skin, I get burned fast. After being tired of using sunblock on my arms or having sunburn on them, I decided to purchase these. My longest single trip was from Atlanta to Savannah at the end of July. Let me tell you, it was HOT and the sun was beaming. But thanks to these sleeves, my arms stayed a little cooler than expected, and I received no sunburn. And as a bonus feature that I didn't think about, as I started sweating — the sweat from my arms would get absorbed in these, then the wind would blow. And as the sweat evaporated, it cooled me down even further. I would definitely purchase again and recommend these for purchase." —Keith

Promising review: "We have no tree coverage in our backyard and we have a large pool. I anchored this to my pool deck and house to cover the patio. It’s a game changer! My backyard is turning into my little oasis. I can sit in the shade while the kids play in the yard. It’s high-quality material. We love it! I feel like I have my own resort lol. I just roll it toward the house and clip it up when there is weather or high winds coming. Takes just a couple of minutes to put down and up again." —KB

The leaves completely blend in with the other trees and plants we have in the backyard, and it looks like we made a huge upgrade in our gardening game. I'm now just hoping it can withstand the Arizona summer and not fade with the sun (product description does state fade resistant). Don't be hesitant with purchasing, it's totally worth it!!" —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "I wish I’d purchased this handheld fan much sooner! This past summer was scorching, and I’m an easy sweater. Once the sweat starts, I just can’t seem to stop it!! This fan came in handy so much over the tail end of the hot summer we had. It’s small yet packs a mighty punch! The mist feature above all wins me over when it comes to this device. I definitely recommend purchasing if you need a quick cool down!"—Thomas J.

Promising review: "I will never buy another pair of warm weather PJs again other than these. I am a thirty-something post-baby lady, and with my hormones paired with living in Arizona, I needed PJs that were cool and comfortable. But I often found that the fabric of other PJs would rapidly get worn, pilled, and rough. These silky soft PJs have been going strong for months now through countless hot flashes and heat waves when it would get into the 80s in our bedroom. If you are a hot-blooded person and need to cool down, I can't recommend these PJs enough. I literally never leave reviews but felt compelled to preach to others the good word of Latuza's PJs." —Margery

Check out a TikTok of the Ninja Creami in action.

For those with dietary restrictions, this is a great way to make your own custom safe treat.

My sister and I LOVE our Ninja Creami!! I was a little hesitant about buying it but after the first use I literally don't know how I was living without it. Especially because ice cream is one of my favorite foods. I didn't think anything could top my Ben & Jerry's, but it does. It really is super easy to prepare a few different flavors the night before so when you are ready to treat yourself, you just stick it in the machine. On the real, it does take a couple of spins to get that creamy consistency. I definitely freaked out the first time because right after the first spin, it kinda gave shaved ice. But a second spin fixed it! My sister's favorite recipe is putting a mushed banana with a chocolate protein shake for a creamy after-workout treat that still meets her personal protein goals. My favorite is frozen strawberries with a little fruit juice and chamoy — don't knock it ’til you try it.

Promising review: "This is my favorite gift. I use it at least five times a week. The size of the containers is perfect for when you want a sweet treat, and I love that you can control the consistency and softness of the way they come out. Fairly easy to clean as well." —Luke Johnson

Each set comes with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two pillowcases (one for Twin).

Promising review: I’ve been meaning to buy 100% cotton sheets because I’m a very hot sleeper, and after ordering these, I wish I did sooner. Immediate difference in my sleep quality. These sheets are very cool, soft, and so so comfortable. My only complaint is that I wish they were a little more opaque because you can see the design on my mattress through the sheets. [Editor's note: A mattress pad would fix that problem, which is common for white sheets.] However, they don’t feel thin whatsoever, and I love the color and look they give to my bed." —Nina

Get it from Amazon for $42.99+ (available in sizes Twin–California King, in two-packs, and in a variety of colors).

Promising review:  "This fan has a great setup. There is very little assembly required out of the box. My three dogs and fiancé all sleep in the same bedroom in south Texas without a ceiling fan. So it gets hot QUICK. Our HOA does not allow window AC units. We had a box fan, but it was not doing much. I can say I feel a noticeable difference with this fan. I am not waking up in the middle of the night in a sweat. The remote allows us to control the fan from the bed, so we don't have to get up! It is also very quiet so we do not hear much white noise from the fan." —Charlie

Promising review: "I live just outside New Orleans, so our summertime heat and humidity keep me inside for May, June, July, August, September, and sometimes even October! Today (mid-June) it was 92 degrees around 2 o'clock. After running the mist hose for about twenty minutes, my dual thermometer had it 76 degrees directly under the umbrella, and 91 in the shade. Things do get wet under the spray (our humidity is relatively high here), so I imagine if you were in a drier part of the country, it would evaporate nicely. But, I will gladly take the moisture for the temperature drop. I sat just outside the 'splash zone' (hahaha) and never broke a sweat. Now I'm off to the grocery to buy pina colada ingredients so I can enjoy this refreshing mist even more! So happy to be able to spend some time outside!" —Amazon Customer

Get a 10-ounce bottle from Amazon for $19.

This bottle is BuzzFeed Shopping editor Maitland Quitmeyer's go-to: "It claims to keep ice for over 24 hours! The tapered base is also cupholder friendly, and the whole darn thing is dishwasher safe, too! Let me tell you, this is my new favorite water bottle. I can lock the lid with a quick twist, and throw it sideways in any tote and not even think *twice* about it leaking at all!"

Promising review: "These are by far my favorite cups. They are totally leak-proof when 'locked,' even with the straw in place. I can throw it in my work bag and it doesn’t spill. They fit perfectly in my car cupholders. They’re easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Yesterday, I had this cup out by the pool for seven hours in direct sunlight. The outside of the cup was hot, but my water still had ice in it. There’s nothing negative to say, except I wish I had found them earlier instead of wasting money on other cups I’ll never use again." —J. Lindsey

Promising review: "I shave my head and was preparing for and ran a half marathon. Getting sweat in my eyes was a big problem for me. I purchased this to prevent the stinging from all that sweat. It absorbs a lot of sweat. After about five miles, I am drenched, except for my eyes. This holds up well and absorbs a lot. It takes me about 10 miles before I start to overload it, but even then, it still holds back the flood. When I was done with the half, I wrung it out, and it absorbed a surprising amount. Unlike my running clothes, this did not hold the smell. A simple wash, and it was like new again. It fits well and has held up for over a year. The only reason I would need to buy another one is if I wanted to be matchy matchy with my running clothes." —Brock K

Promising review: "I absolutely never write a review for Amazon. However, this product warrants an outstanding review! I am the age where I am boiling hot at night, often sweating, and overwhelmed by the heat. My husband is the opposite, loves the warmth. This fan has solved all of our problems! On low, it is so quiet my husband can’t even hear it, and it will send a breeze on my face that keeps me cool and comfortable all night long. I have already ordered a second one in case anything happens to my first fan. It fits on your nightstand, very conveniently." —Jan Goldress

Promising review: "This is a great product! As a bald travel ball dad, this product is a lifesaver during hot days on the ball field. I originally purchased the 4-pack and used them during our recent tournament. I wet them, put them in their carrying case, and placed them in the freezer. I placed them in the cooler on the way to the ball fields, and about midday, the sun was horrible, and these were life savers. Instant relief from the sun, and I became immediately cooler. I gave one to another parent, and a couple of the players were using them the rest of the day. I will be buying more to keep with me for the rest of the summer." —dcloer

Promising review: "I have had this pool for about two weeks now and I LOVE IT!!! Was simple to set up, I got a little electric pump. and it took about 10 minutes to inflate, then about half an hour to fill with water. Pay attention to make sure you set it up on level ground or it will be lopsided. I live in South Carolina, so it is already hot and humid, and I use it about every afternoon. It is probably good for two adults, maybe one adult and a couple of kids. The built-in seat and headrest are really quite comfy and relaxing. I will definitely buy this same pool again if it springs a leak and can't be fixed, if I could give it 10 stars, I would. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!" —Kathryn J.
