Trump’s ‘Cringe’ UFC Guest List Is Reported, And Where The Heck Are Celebrities?

Talk about a blood sport. Donald Trump’s family will reportedly fill ringside seats amid revelations that invited A-listers will not attend the president’s UFC event on the White House lawn Sunday. The guest list for the fight card, which also celebrates Trump’s 80th birthday, features first lady Melania Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and new wife Bettina Trump, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, and Eric and Lara Trump, “sources close to the family” told the New York Post on Tuesday. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who recently gave birth to her second child, will also attend with husband Nicholas Riccio, according to the right-wing tabloid. The Daily Beast called the “cringe” guest list a humiliation for Trump. Many of UFC boss Dana White’s A-list invitees, such as Adam Sandler, Guy Ritchie, Tom Brady, Jared Leto, Jason Statham, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Mario Lopez, appear to have thrown in the towel on the event. “Of that group, few, if any, will actually be there,” Vanity Fair reported. HuffPost has reached out to the White House for comment. The 5,000-seat-or-so bleachers erected (but perhaps permanent?) will also accommodate members of the military and other Trump guests. Trump’s latest visit to a sporting event, on Monday at Madison Square Garden in his hometown, wasn’t exactly a knockout. He got roundly booed and was caught apparently napping yet again during the New York Knicks’ loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
