Snail Mail Joins Liz Phair For "Go West" In Denver: Watch

Before she started her Snail Mail project, Lindsey Jordan had a Liz Phair cover band called Lizard Phair. In 2018, Jordan and Phair did a Pitchfork interview together (with former Stereogummer Claire Lobenfeld, shout out) and Jordan said, "I would have thought of something better if I knew I would have had to say it to your face." Right now, Phair is touring with fellow '90s indie greats Sleater-Kinney, and Snail Mail, coming off the release of her recent album Ricochet, is opening some of those shows. On Monday night, she got to perform a Liz Phair song with the real Liz Phair.

The Liz Phair/Sleater-Kinney/Snail Mail tour came to Denver's Fillmore Auditorium on Monday. During Phair's set, she and Lindsey Jordan sang a really nice duet version of the 1994 Whip-Smart classic "Go West" and then shared a big hug. Watch a fan video and hear Phair's original below.
