Sen. Lindsey Graham probably wished he had a wand to make TMZ disappear on Monday.

A cheeky videographer from the gossip site pursued the South Carolina Republican up a set of stairs to ask him about the bubble wand he was seen carrying at Disney World during the partial government shutdown. War raged, and Transportation Security Administration workers went unpaid during an impasse over Homeland Security funding, but Graham and others in Congress took advantage of a nice, long recess.

In the clip shared Monday, Graham holds up his arm to his TMZ pursuer as if to say: Don’t bother ― talk to the hand. But the intrepid reporter follows him up. “I’m from TMZ,” the journo says. “Can I just ask you about the bubble wand, sir?” The reporter repeats the request but gets only silence before the video cuts out.

Perhaps if the intrepid TMZer had asked the lawmaker about his support for Trump’s war against Iran despite its globe-rattling impact, then he might have gotten a whole lot o’ Lindsey.

But TMZ was hot on the trail of its own handiwork when it asked followers to take pics of lawmakers in compromising vacay positions to shame the pols for their inaction in solving the stalemate.

Graham, who reportedly was holding the wand for a little girl while she was in the bathroom, was photographed during what seemed to be an extended stay at Mickey Mouse’s house.

And he probably wasn’t expected to get Woodward and Bernsteined on the subject.
