Actor and ex-pro wrestler Tyler Mane announced Tuesday he has breast cancer and said it was somewhat “embarrassing” to reveal it.

Mane, who played Sabretooth in “X-Men” (2000) and “Deadpool and Wolverine” (2024), shared the details in a Facebook reel.

“I have some bad news. I start chemo today,” said Mane, who also appeared as killer Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s “Halloween” (2007). “One in 750 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and I’m one of them.”

“Because it’s rarely talked about, it’s usually found at later stages and has worse outcomes,” he continued. “I want to change that.”

“Come along for my journey to kick this thing in the ass. Send this to 10 of your friends and have them follow me because people need to hear this,” he added.

The clip cuts to Mane connected to an IV in the hospital.

“Fuck cancer!” he said as he flipped the bird.

In written text accompanying the video, Mane confessed: “I have breast cancer. And yep, it’s super rare. Only 1% of breast cancers are men. I’ll be honest, my first reaction was to keep it secret. I mean it’s kind of embarrassing. But then I found out that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advance stages BECAUSE it’s not talked about and not looked for.”

Mane said his doctors initially dismissed it, but his wife encouraged him to get a lump removed.

“So let’s start talking about it! 1 in 755 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and if caught early, it’s VERY treatable,” he wrote.

According to the CDC, age, a family history of breast cancer, previous radiation treatment and being overweight can contribute to the chances of a man getting breast cancer.

The health agency also urges men to be aware of these symptoms: lump or swelling in the breast; redness or flaky skin in the breast; irritation or dimpling of breast skin; or nipple discharge.
