Trump's White House Tries To Hijack ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ Hype And Crashes And Burns Online

The Trump White House went full “Grand Theft Auto” on Thursday and was quickly accused of “cringe.” More than 13 years after the release of “GTA 5,” Rockstar Games announced earlier in the day that, following multiple delays, “GTA 6″ will finally be available to pre-order on June 25 before its long-awaited release on Nov. 19. The White House responded by posting on X what appeared to be an AI-generated image of Trump on a parody “Grand Theft Auto” cover featuring the White House, Air Force One and other presidential imagery. See the post on X. Instead of the game’s title, the cover read “Make America Great Again” over the number 47, a reference to Trump serving as the 47th president. “We really saved America before GTA 6,” the White House captioned the post. It quickly drew criticism on social media, with one user asking, “What in the cringe is this?” Others mocked the design by creating their own spoof covers, including one that renamed the game “Make America Broke Again,” and called on Rockstar Games to sue the Trump administration for breach of copyright. I hope they sue you this is so stupid Lmao you just literally lost a "war" with Iran and came out worse than we went in and you call it winning.@realDonaldTrump I know we come from different Eras, but from where I am from this isn't winning. You guys just have to ruin EVERYTHING don’t you? If the bar for ‘saving a country’ is a game trailer and memes, then maybe nothing was saved—just temporarily entertained.🤣💔 300 billion to Iran By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
